Definitely can't put mere humans on a pedestal, but maybe just shine a spotlight on them to see how their failures, or just their tenacity, and how they led their life which led them to their "successes". That way, we can believe such "successes" are attainable for us as well, making our own efforts and perseverance to inspire us. "Never Give Up, Never Surrender"... :-) Be earnest, enable yourself. "Brick Walls are there not to keep us out, but are there to give us a chance to prove how badly we want something....to show our dedication".
